LoNiu Home was born from a passion for architecture Mallorca and timeless interior design Mallorca. From the very beginning, our goal has been to unite architecture, craftsmanship, and emotion to create homes that feel both modern and deeply human. A Home Sanctuary
Every LoNiu Home project starts with a story. When we restored our first home in Palma, we approached it not as a renovation but as an architectural journey. Step by step, we found balance between structure and soul — a space where architecture and feeling coexist naturally. Working in partnership with Robinson Architecture, Design & Construction, we transformed the building into a home sanctuary, defining our own Mediterranean approach to architecture Mallorca. Through collaboration and intention, design became emotion made tangible.
The Name That Found Us
Our journey began on Carrer Pons i Gallarza in Palma. Out of curiosity, we explored the origin of the street’s name and discovered the poet Josep Lluís Pons i Gallarza. His poem “Lo Niu” — *The Nest* — describes a couple creating a safe and loving home. The story of protection, legacy, and continuity resonated deeply with us. It reflected exactly what we wanted our architecture Mallorca to express: warmth, proportion, and belonging.
In that moment, architecture became poetry. A poem became a feeling. And that feeling became LoNiu Home.
Interior Design Mallorca: The Meaning Behind LoNiu
LoNiu means “the nest.” Simple, protective, and enduring, it represents everything a home should be — safe, alive, and deeply personal. It’s at the heart of our work in interior design Mallorca and architecture Mallorca. Whether we design a Mallorca townhouse, a turnkey villa, or a bespoke outdoor living space, we focus on permanence and serenity. Every project becomes a dialogue between design, materials, and the way people live.
Two Poets, One Island
Shortly after, we discovered another version of “Lo Niu” — this time by Maria Antònia Salvà, Mallorca’s first great female poet.
Everything that passes leaves a trace…
the flight of a mosquito, the shadow of a star,
the breath of a laughing child…
And Nature, in her strange way,
makes a nest for it all.
Both poets — one man and one woman — wrote of love, memory, and home. Their verses became the foundation of our design philosophy: to create homes inspired by the island’s poetry and light. Just like them, we see architecture Mallorca as a way to preserve memory through materials, form, and texture.
From Our Home to Yours
Today, we still live in that first home in Palma. Its stone holds warmth, its garden changes with the seasons, and its walls continue our story. From there, LoNiu Home grew naturally — into a studio dedicated to interior design Mallorca and architecture Mallorca at the highest level. Our approach combines the precision of architecture with the emotion of design, ensuring every project feels effortless yet deeply personal. We design for longevity — homes meant to evolve, not expire.
